Adhesive silicone sheet for scar treatment.
Self-adhesive silicone sheets for improvement of red, dark or raised scars. It works occluding the skin to hydrate the scar area. Due to the occlusion, moisture remains locked into the skin around the scar, reducing the blood supply and volume of collagen which is used by the body to rebuild wounded skin.
Fully washable and re-usable and odourless.

The product works on two fronts:
The occlusive properties reduces trans epidermal water loss, maintaining skin hydration.
The skin tension of the affected areas is decreased by keeping the wound tightly together through its adhesive action.

If deterioration in skin condition is noted, clinical advice should be sought and, if so advised, use of the product discontinued.
How should the products be cleaned?
MacMed Scar Treatment Silicone is suitable to be washed and re-used (single patient use only). Wash in mild detergent, rinse and allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Can the product be repaired?
No. if the product is degraded or damaged in any way, please discard.
How should the product be disposed of?
This is a registered medical device. At the end of its useful life, the product should be treated as healthcare waste and disposed of according to local healthcare waste guidelines. It may be incinerated with other healthcare waste.
